Stonehouse

Maria and PaulThe Crown Centre is a community internet cafe and resource centre. It is the base for the Oasis Project and the Plymouth Foodbank.   Food is served from 9.30 - 2.00pm and we can cater for events and parties at the centre or at your venue. The prayer room is open throughout the day and if you would like someone to pray with you just ask.

Free informal tutoring for anyone wanting to brush up on their  English or computer skills at different levels. Every week about 80 people come to the Crown Centre to meet friends, to learn how to use a computer, to collect a Foodbag, to help with administration or sorting tins, or because they need or want to offer some help - maybe practical, emotional or spiritual help.

Birthday Party

Local groups such as  Stonehouse Action and the Stonehouse Timebank meet at the centre. Timebank is run by the Zebra Collective and is looking for people with skills to offer in return for credits which can be spent taking advantage of other people's skills.  It can be things like ironing and dog walking.

Job Club is also based here every Friday 1pm - 4pm for anyone wanting help in finding employment, by creating a CV, applying for jobs online, building confidence, interview techniques, or sourcing training and voluntary work.
